Awareness Generation-Sourcing:
To create awareness among the unemployed youths in the State of Assam, BYST in association with different NGOs and Skill Development Organisations both in private and public sectors, have been organising Awareness Generation Programmes (AGP). These awareness camps try to explain to the unemployed youths about different opportunities to make their ventures viable and give them moral boost to enhance their potentialities, so that they become good entrepreneurs. In the said AGP, officials of the Government as well as from the Banks are also invited so that they can motivate the unemployed youths to become an entrepreneur.
Councelling
Our Mentor counsellors counsel the prospective entrepreneurs and recommend them to the next stage i.e. training. The prospective entrepreneurs, whose ideas are viable but are not found suitable on other grounds such as knowledge and experience about the ventures they propose to set up, are signposted.
Training
The prospective entrepreneurs who are selected for training are given training for a duration varying from 1 to 5 days by BYST staff and empanelled outside trainers on various aspects of entrepreneurship including soft skills. They are also informed about various requirements for project report preparation and documentations/ stipulations of banks.
Project Report Preparation & Submission to Bank
Once the prospective entrepreneur submits all relevant documents including KYC, the project reports are prepared by financial analysts/CAs in BYST panel. After the project reports are prepared, the prospective entrepreneur is interviewed by a panel of Mentors called Internal Entrepreneur Selection Panel (IESP) and if selected, the proposal is recommended to the banks for sanction. The Proposals are submitted to banks with whom we have MoUs such as SBI, AGVB, BOB, IOB, BoM, BMB. However we also submit the proposals to other banks who evince interest in supporting these entrepreneurs. After submission of the proposal to bank branches, constant follow up is done by BYST staff not only at the branch level, but also at the controlling office level till the loans are sanctioned and disbursed.
Mentoring
Once the loans are disbursed, the Mentor Advisory Panel (MAP) of BYST, assigns mentors for a period of two years, as under-
